The Council of Young Scientists was established in 2010 by an initiative group led by Dr. E. Maslova. to actively implement the policy of supporting young researchers, their professional integration and cooperation.
At the moment, the Council of Young Scientists of the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education “Oryol State University named after I.S. Turgenev ”is a collegial deliberative body that promotes professional growth of beginning researchers, young scientists, created to protect their rights and interests in the field of scientific and professional activities.
The young scientist is an employee with an academic degree of a candidate or a doctor of science at the age of 35 and 40, respectively, as well as a graduate student or university student engaged in basic and applied research in various fields of science.
The Council of Young Scientists is formed from representatives of young scientists of the university (up to two representatives from each institute or department). Membership in the Council is carried out on the proposal of the director of the institute or the dean of the faculty with the written consent of the said person - a young scientist.
The main objectives of the Council of Young Scientists are:
- increase of creative activity in the research activities of young scientists of the university;
- assistance to young scientists of the university in professional and career growth;
- realization of the scientific potential of young scientists of the university;
- assistance in carrying out the tasks of the supporting university.
